Meeting Run & Wrap-Up Experience
A redesigned meeting-night workflow that makes it easier to record what actually happened and update Scout progress afterward. Leaders can take attendance, record activity results and feedback, review which requirements were covered, confirm Scout completions in bulk with individual exceptions, assign missed requirements as at-home follow-up, and finish the meeting in one connected workflow. The redesign also preserves activity-use history, supports post-meeting corrections, and keeps planned, covered, and individual Scout completion status clearly separated.
Denner Rotation & Meeting Assignments
Leaders can optionally record a Denner rotation for their den and assign a Scout as Denner for individual meetings. Denner assignments appear throughout meeting planning, printable agendas, Coming Up, and family-facing meeting information.
Denner & Youth Leadership Tools
Explore ways to support youth leadership during den meetings with simple, reusable tools such as meeting blueprints, Denner role cards, helper assignments, and Scout/Den Chief prompts. Physical versions will be tested first to learn what works before deciding how these tools should be incorporated into meeting planning and printable materials in the app.
Family Invitations
Give Den Leaders simple ways to connect families to their den. Leaders can copy a reusable join link, prepare a ready-to-send email, or print invitations with the den join code and QR code in 1-, 2-, 4-, or 6-per-page layouts. A dismissible Dashboard card keeps family invitations easy to find during setup, while Roster → Den Access remains the permanent home for join access.
Reusable Meeting Segment Templates
Save common parts of a den meeting—such as an Opening, Gathering Activity, Closing, or other recurring segment—as reusable templates. Add a saved segment template to any existing meeting plan without replacing the requirements, activities, or other content already planned. This makes it easy to reuse consistent meeting routines, including meetings created from the Annual Plan.
Multi-Rank Den Planning
Support leaders who run dens with Scouts from more than one rank. Explore ways to build a single meeting plan that can include requirements and adventures from multiple ranks, while making it easy to identify activities Scouts can do together and add rank-specific activities when needed. Meeting agendas, parent summaries, and advancement tracking should preserve the correct requirements for each rank while allowing the den to plan and meet as one group. This exploration may also include how multi-rank dens interact with Annual Planning, adventure selection, Exchange activity recommendations and filtering, and requirement coverage.
Resource & Attachments Revamp
Audit and redesign how files, links, resources, and attachments work throughout The Scouting Exchange so their purpose and behavior are clear and consistent. Resources should function as reusable items in a Den’s private resource library, while attachments should belong directly to the activity, meeting-plan segment, at-home assignment, or other item they support. The revamp should make it easy for leaders to: Upload or link supporting materials directly where they are needed. Attach existing Resources from their Den library. Add attachments to any appropriate Meeting Plan segment, not only Activities. Control whether supporting content is leader-only, family-safe, or eligible to be shared publicly. Publish Activities with eligible attachments intact instead of unexpectedly removing them. Copy or save shared Activities with their intended supporting materials. Clearly understand when a private Resource will remain private versus when an attachment will travel with shared content. This work should include an audit of the existing Resource/attachment data model, publication workflow, Exchange sharing and copying behavior, Meeting Plans, At-Home Assignments, and parent-facing access so supporting materials behave predictably across the app.
Scout Adventure Interests
Let Scouts help shape the den’s year by sharing which elective adventures interest them most. Parents can review their Scout’s rank-specific elective adventures with their Scout and select a limited number of favorites, such as 3–5. Leaders can also print an interest sheet for Scouts to complete in person and optionally record those selections in the app. Interest selections are informational only and do not guarantee that an adventure will be included in the den plan. Leader planning screens will surface aggregate Scout interest so leaders can use it when choosing electives, including: Elective Adventure Selection: Show the number of Scouts interested in each adventure while the leader is deciding which electives to add to the annual plan. Annual Plan: Display interest counts alongside elective adventures so leaders can consider Scout preferences while scheduling the year. Scout Interests Summary: Show participation and the den’s most-requested elective adventures, with the ability to see individual selections when useful.
